Simba SC attacking midfielder Clatous Chama has said he remains unfazed by discussions surrounding his name off the pitch, insisting that such matters have no place in his football career.
Chama made the remarks yesterday during Simba Media Day, held at MO Arena in Bunju, Dar es Salaam, amid widespread online debate about his relationship with his former club, Yanga SC.
The Zambian star said he chooses to focus on what happens on the pitch and his responsibilities as a Simba player rather than allowing off-field discussions to distract him.
βI am an experienced player, so issues off the pitch cannot bother me. My mind and thoughts are focused on Simba, where my teammates and I have a responsibility to ensure we achieve our goals,β Chama said.
Recently, Chama revealed what happened when he signed for Yanga, making it clear that joining the club was not his intention, but circumstances at the time led him to make a decision that left him unhappy.
Since returning to Simba, Chama has regained his form and has become one of the key players in the squad, with fans expecting him to showcase his quality even more on the pitch.
