After arriving in Polokwane yesterday, the Simba squad today began its 10-day training camp as the team prepares for the return of the NBC Premier League and CAF Champions League after the FIFA calendar break.
Simba head coach Steve Barker, along with several stars including Neo Maema, Keletso Makgalwa, Rushine de Reuck and Ibrahim Jabeer, who joined the team in South Africa, took part in the first training session.
Other players, particularly those who travelled back to their respective countries for a few days of rest, are expected to join the squad in Polokwane.
Simba will have 10 intensive days to complete their preparations before returning to Dar es Salaam to face traditional rivals Yanga in the seventh-round NBC Premier League match.
The clash, scheduled for October 10, could be played at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium, the venue where Simba are playing their NBC Premier League home matches this season.
