Simba SC Head of Information and Communications Ahmed Ally has assured the club’s fans that the team is well prepared for their Mainland Premier League clash against Yanga on Saturday, October 10, at Uhuru Stadium.
Ahmed said that after returning to Tanzania from South Africa, where they completed a 10-day training camp, the squad is expected to resume training today and go straight into camp to complete preparations for the match.
Ahmed said the players are highly motivated, with everyone eagerly looking forward to the derby.
"The players are looking at this match with great ambition. The decision to take the team abroad for a training camp was a message showing just how determined we are to perform well in this game, as well as in the matches that follow."
"The players' morale is high. We have started the league well without losing or drawing, so we want to maintain that momentum by winning every match."
"Simba versus Yanga is a decisive match. This is the kind of game that truly tests the quality of your team. The signings we made and the preparations we have undertaken will be put to the test in this match on Saturday, October 10."
"Simba fans should come to the stadium in large numbers. Preparations have gone well and everything is in place," Ahmed said.
