Simba SC have officially entered a new chapter in strengthening their technical department after appointing former Zambia national team coach Honour Janza as the club’s new Technical Director.
The decision was officially announced by the Msimbazi giants’ management today as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its football structures, from the youth teams to the senior squad.
Janza arrives with extensive experience in African football. His name is already familiar in Tanzania, where he previously served as head coach of Namungo FC before being entrusted with coaching the Tanzania national team, Taifa Stars, during different periods between 2022 and 2023.
Internationally, one of Janza’s major achievements came in 2015, when he led Zambia’s national team, the Chipolopolo, at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He has also held the same Technical Director position at ZESCO United in his home country, making him a suitable candidate for the new role at the Msimbazi Reds.
The Zambian’s arrival is expected to improve recruitment, coordination of technical matters and the implementation of Simba’s football philosophy.
