Simba have work to do in the Champions League

After accepting the second defeat in the group stages of the CAF Champions League, the representatives of Tanzania, Simba, now their only hope of reaching the quarter-finals of the tournament will depend on the mistakes of their opponents as well

Simba, with a good winning record when playing at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the CAF Champions League, they conceded a 3-0 goals at the stadium against Raja Casablanca of Morocco, this being the second defeat at that stage. after the previous away match in Guinea was beaten 1-0 against Horoya AC.

But the defeat at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is the first for them in the group stage of the CAF Champions League

The result makes Raja Casablanca lead Group C with six points, followed by Horoya AC with four points and Vipers of Uganda occupying third place with one point while Simba are trailing behind with no points

In that sense, in order for Simba to be able to reach the quarter final stage, they should win their next three games against Vipers away and at home and then they will welcome Horoya AC, but pray for Raja Casablaca to win their next three matches before concluding with a match against Simba.

This means if Simba wins the three matches before concluding against Raja Casablaca, will have nine points, while the Moroccan will have 12 points, while the Guinean champions will remain with their four points before final group stage match against Vipers.

So, even if Horoya wins against Vipers and draws one match against Raja Casablanca, it means they will finish with eight points, one behind Simba
