Mtibwa Sugar defender, Iddy Moby Mfaume died this afternoon at Benjamin Mkapa Hospital, Dodoma.
According to the doctor of the Mtibwa Sugar Company Hospital, Khalid Sabuni, Mobby had a health problem yesterday (March 4, 2023) in Morogoro region while he was in personal road work (roadwork) towards their FA Cup game against of KMC
"On his way to the field, he started having a headache, then he felt dizzy and wanted to fall but he knelt down", said Dr. Soap while confirming the death.
Dr. Sabuni said, Mobby was taken to the company's hospital, and then to Bwagala hospital for further treatment, but when night came, the situation was bad and he was referred to Benjamin Mkapa Hospital, in Dodoma, where he died."He arrived in Dodoma at night but by this afternoon he had died", concluded Dr. Soap.
Iddy was signed to Mtibwa Sugar this season from Ruvu Shooting but he also played for Geita Gold, Police Tanzania, and Mwadui FC at different times and was also called up to the national team 'Taifa Stars'.
