Azam Fc will face Gor Mahia in a friendly match

The Azam FC will play an international friendly game against Kenya's Gor Mahia FC, in order to prepare for the remaining Tanzania Mainland Premier League games this season, as well as the ASFC Confederation Cup quarter-final game against Mtibwa Sugar.

Azam FC has confirmed the presence of the game through its social media pages, after the Technical Bench recommended the playing of at least two such games in this period of the FIFA Calendar.

The game against Gor Mahia is scheduled to be played on Saturday (March 26) at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.

Before that game, Azam FC will play another friendly game against JKU from the islands of Zanzibar on Wednesday (March 22), at the Azam Complex Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

At another point, the Head of the Azam FC Technical Bench, Dani Cadena, said that they had to use this period for the game, in order to keep their remaining players in the squad, after their colleagues were called to represent their national teams.

Speaking in the city of Dar es Salaam, Cadena said that it will be a long time for them not to play, so they have considered it better not to give permission for a break in order to restore the morale of their team after the recent setback.

"The permission we have given is for the players who were called to the national team, the rest we will continue training with the aim of keeping ourselves stronger due to the difficult games that were ahead of us," said Dani Cadena

The last game for Azam FC was on March 13 when they lost 1-0 to Ihefu FC at the Highland Estate Stadium and after that they will play Mtibwa Sugar in the Quarter Final of the Confederation Cup 'ASFC' between April 3.< /p>

Tanzanian national players, Sospeter Bajana and Abdul Suleiman 'Sopu' are Azam FC players who were called up in the 'Taifa Stars' squad that went to Egypt ready for the AFCON 2023 qualifier against Uganda.

The game is scheduled to be played on March 24 in Egypt, before the teams meet in Dar es Salaam on March 28
