Having already qualified to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, Yanga Information Officer Ali Kamwe has said that they are ready to play against anyone at the quarter-finals
Yanga leads group D with 10 points, the same as US Monastir, but the Citizens have a good GD
The champions of Mainland Tanzania will travel to Lubumbashi on Thursday, March 30 to complete the final group stage match against TP Mazembe
Kamwe said that Yanga wants to win the game to ensure that they finish top of the group and be sure to finish the second match of the quarter-finals at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
He said the quality they showed in the competition this season has made Yanga one of the feared teams in the tournament
"If you follow since the champions league, we lost one game against Al Hilal in Sudan. In the Confederation Cup we also lost one game in Tunisia against US Monastrir but we took revenge here at home"
"This season we are the only team that won all three matches in the CAF competition group stage at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium while scoring more than one goal in each game. I believe our victory against US Monastir has given a lesson to others learning how to win against Arab teams"
"At the stage we have reached now, we are not afraid of any team but we are the ones who are feared. We have the best team and the best technical bench led by professor Nasreddine Nabi," said Kamwe
