Namungo determined to do better next season

The chairman of Namungo Fc, Hassan Zidadu said this season was not good for them but their international participation has contributed to their success

Namungo ranks sixth in the Premier League standings, with 35 points, having played 26 games while Yanga leads with 68 points followed by Simba with 63 points

Namungo participated in the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2020/21 season and finished last in group D with Raja Casablanca, Pyramids and Nkana

Zidadu who is the Member of Parliament for Tunduru North said this season they have failed to do well but they will sit down and come up with plans to ensure they do well next season

"We forgot about our participation in international competitions, the teams have treated us as if we are big, but we who consider ourselves ordinary, that's when we slipped, our colleagues believe that we are a big team but our players don't understand that"

"For us, we consider it as a lesson, so next season every match for us should be like a final," said the Chairman.

Zidadu asked Namungo fans not to worry, they are making strategies to ensure that they play in international competitions next season.

"The success we've seen in our league is sponsorship right now teams can travel and pay salaries at a time this is a big deal"
