Ruvu Shooting Head Coach Mbwana Makata said they have not given up hope and are continuing with the preparations for the remaining games before the end of the 2022/23 season
Ruvu Shooting is trailing the bottom of the Tanzania Premier League with 20 points, playing 27 games so far
"We will continue to keep ourselves in shape for the remaining games, believe me my players will fight until the end, where we are now is not good but we have not given up," he said
The last time Ruvu Shooting went down in 2014/15 with Tanzania Police who were trailing with 25 points while Toto African and African Sports went up to the Premier League
Ruvu Shooting returned to the Premier League in 2016/17 along with Mbao FC and ended the season in seventh place with 36 points while Mbao finished 12th with 33 points
Now they are trailing in the league standings with 20 points after playing 27 matches
The remaining three matches they need to win all of them and probably the place they can reach is the play-off because Mtibwa Sugar who is in 12th place which is above the play-off has 29 points which Ruvu Shooting can reach if they win their remaining matches
