The Azam FC club has entered into an agreement to own the Baobab Queens of Dodoma for a period of one year in order to fulfill the requirement of CAF who have ordered that all clubs that will participate in the CAF championship next season must have women's teams
Azam, like Singida Fountain Gate (formerly Singida BS), booked tickets to the international championships next season, but were constrained by the conditions set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) requiring all participating clubs to have football teams of women
Singida ended early with Fountain Gate by selling their shares and changing their name to give them the opportunity to own the Fountain Gate Princess women's team in the Women's Premier League (WPL) before Azam reached a special agreement with Baobab Queens
