The Tanzanian national team (Taifa Stars), will leave the country tomorrow for Zambia to play a match for a ticket to participate in the World Cup finals to be held in 2026
Zambia's famous Chipolopolo will host Taifa Stars in the Group E match that will be played on Tuesday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola Town
The Information and Communication Officer of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Clifford Ndimbo, said yesterday that the team's squad has been completed after the stars who were in their club duties reported
"The Stars squad is now complete, all the players who were called have arrived, and today (yesterday), they trained in Mkapa and tomorrow (today), they will continue to improve there, they are strengthening themselves to ensure that they get the best results in Zambia," said Ndimbo
He added that the Stars technical bench under Acting Head Coach, Hemed Morocco, is satisfied with the standards shown by the players in the friendly games held in Indonesia last week
Tanzania is trailing in Group E with the same three points as leaders Morocco, Zambia and Niger, this is due to the difference in goals scored and conceded.
