Yanga Legal Director Simon Patrick has confirmed that the national champions have completed the process of signing Yusuph Kagoma in March 2024 from the Fountain Gate club
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Simon said that negotiations between Yanga and Fountain Gate for the registration of Kagoma started on 03 March 2024
"Yanga was given conditions by Fountain Gate to pay 30 million to buy Kagoma. After the club's agreement, the two parties entered into a player's contract"
"A valid contract was signed by two parties. Yanga had to pay the money in two phases. The first phase should be completed before April 30 and the second phase should be completed before June 30"
"Yanga paid all the money 30 Million before April 30 and March 27 2024 Yanga sent Kagoma a plane ticket from Kigoma to Dar es Salaam for negotiations"
"Kagoma signed a contract on March 28, 2024, the player was represented by his lawyer, Leonard Richard signing a three-year contract"
"Thus until now Yanga has a valid contract with Yusuph Kagoma. July 06 2024 Singida FG asked for the payment of Tsh 30 million that we made to register Kagoma to be the payment of Nickson Kibabage who was serving Yanga on loan"
"However, Yanga again paid another Tsh 30 million to complete the payment of the player Nickson Kibabage and thus the total has paid Tsh 60 million"
"In September, the player's leadership asked to sit down with Yanga's leadership to end the conflict outside the Committee and they were required to complete an agreement including the player apologizing, but this did not happen"
