Spanish La Liga side Valencia are reported to have submitted a €500,000 (approximately Tsh 1.47 billion) bid to sign midfielder Aliou Dieng from Al Ahly.
However, the Egyptian champions are not ready to let go of the Mali international, insisting that he remains an important part of their plans.
Valencia are expected to submit an improved and more lucrative offer in their pursuit of the Malian midfielder.
Al Ahly will face Tanzania’s Young Africans (Yanga) tomorrow, Friday, in a CAF Champions League (CAFCL) match.
