Simba SC have confirmed the contract extension of central midfielder Yusuph Kagoma.
Kagoma has signed a new two-year deal to continue serving the Msimbazi Reds. His previous contract had been set to expire at the end of the current season.
The move has been praised as a positive step by Simba’s management, securing the services of the defensive midfielder who has become one of the key pillars in the team’s midfield.
Simba have also extended the contract of South African defender Rushine de Reuck.
Rushine has added one more year to his deal after the club activated an extension clause that was included in his initial contract.
The defender, who is also one of Simba’s captains, joined the Msimbazi-based club on a one-year loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, with an option to extend for another year if the club was satisfied with his performance.
Simba’s management has put in place a strategy aimed at ensuring that all key players in the first-team squad are tied to long-term contracts.
