UEFA has confirmed that the team finishing in 7th place in the Premier League this season could qualify for the 2026–27 UEFA Champions League, if:
Aston Villa win the UEFA Europa League title and finish in 5th or 6th place in the Premier League, then the 7th-placed team could gain a spot in the Champions League.
Also, if Liverpool win the UEFA Champions League and finish in 5th or 6th place in the Premier League, then the 7th-placed team would also have a chance to participate in Europe’s top club competition.
This UEFA decision aims to maintain a fair balance between domestic and European competitions.
