Mohamed Salah Set to Leave Liverpool After Historic Spell

Egyptian star forward Mohamed Salah is expected to leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/2026 season, following a mutual agreement with the club to conclude his contract.

According to sources within the club, the decision was reached amicably, bringing to an end a highly successful spell of nearly nine years at Anfield.

Salah, who joined Liverpool FC in 2017 from AS Roma, has made history as one of the club’s greatest goal scorers. During his time, he has scored over 250 goals in all competitions and helped the team win major trophies, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking about the decision, Mohamed Salah said his time at Liverpool has been one of the most special periods of his career, thanking fans for their support since day one.

His departure comes at a time when the club is undergoing a transition under head coach Arne Slot, with a focus on rebuilding the squad for the coming seasons.

Various reports suggest that the 33-year-old star could move to the Saudi Pro League or join another top European club, although he has not yet officially announced his next destination.

Football analysts say the gap left by Salah will be significant for Liverpool FC, given his immense contribution to the team’s success in recent years.

His departure will mark the end of an era for one of the players who transformed the modern history of Liverpool FC.
