Sergio Ramos Reportedly Planning Sevilla FC Takeover

Former Real Madrid and Spain captain Sergio Ramos has made headlines across European football after reports claimed he is planning to buy his former club Sevilla FC through a group of international investors.

Several Spanish media outlets have reported that Ramos and his investment company have already started official talks with some of Sevilla’s major shareholders regarding a possible ownership change at the club, which is currently facing financial and competitive difficulties.

According to those reports, the value of the deal could exceed €400 million if all agreements are finalized in the coming months.

Sevilla Facing Difficult Times

Sevilla has struggled in recent seasons despite its strong history in the UEFA Europa League.

In addition to poor performances in La Liga, the club has also faced leadership conflicts and major debts that have affected its long-term development plans.

Football analysts in Spain believe these challenges have attracted several investors interested in putting money into the famous Andalusian club.

Ramos Could Return in a New Role

Sergio Ramos began his football career at Sevilla before joining Real Madrid in 2005, where he became one of the world’s most successful defenders, winning multiple titles including the UEFA Champions League and La Liga.

After leaving Madrid, Ramos later returned to Sevilla as a player before beginning to consider life outside football.

Now, reports linking him with a possible ownership role at the club have sparked major debate among football fans in Spain.

Some supporters believe Ramos could help return Sevilla to success because of his experience at the highest level of football, while others want to first see his long-term plans for the club.

Negotiations Still Ongoing

Reports from Spain say discussions between Ramos’ side and several Sevilla shareholders are still ongoing, with financial and legal matters being carefully reviewed before any official agreement is reached.

If the deal succeeds, Ramos would join the growing list of former football stars who became investors or club owners after retiring from professional football.

Sevilla fans are currently following developments closely, with many believing that changes in leadership could mark a fresh start for the club.

So far, Sevilla has not released an official statement regarding the talks, but the proposed deal could eventually be completed.
