As fans await the conclusion of the current season, Yanga SC management has already begun early planning to rebuild the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Reports from within the club indicate that the Tanzania champions have started preliminary recruitment processes aimed at significantly strengthening the team for both domestic and continental competitions next season.
After a relatively underwhelming performance in the previous major transfer window, Yanga are now determined to approach recruitment more carefully to ensure that every position requiring reinforcement is filled with the right player.
Sources within the club suggest that Yanga are planning major changes within their foreign player department, with at least seven new international signings expected to be targeted once the transfer window officially opens.
If the plan is implemented, it would mean that out of the current 12 foreign players in the squad, only five are likely to remain, while the rest will leave due to expiring contracts or not fitting into the technical bench’s plans.
The club has already begun restructuring by parting ways with several players who were previously loaned out to other teams. Reports indicate that Mohamed Doumbia, Celestin Ecua, Jonathan Ikangalombo, and Moussa Balla Conte will not be part of Yanga’s plans for next season following the decision not to retain them.
