Young Africans SC (Yanga SC) has clarified its position regarding the possible return of former attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, stating that the player must meet certain conditions before any official negotiations can take place.
Aziz Ki, who currently plays for Al Ittihad in Libya, has recently returned to the headlines following reports suggesting he is interested in coming back to Jangwani after facing challenges at his current club. However, Yanga SC has made it clear that it is not willing to bear the cost of terminating his existing contract.
According to sources within the club, the Tanzanian champions have insisted that they will not engage in any process involving the breaking of the player’s contract. Instead, they want Aziz Ki to first resolve his situation with his current club before any formal discussions with Yanga can begin.
This stance is seen as part of the club’s new transfer policy, which aims to reduce unnecessary expenditure and focus on long-term squad planning.
His legacy at Jangwani remains memorable
There is no doubt that Aziz Ki made a significant impact during his time at Yanga SC. Over his three-year spell, he became one of the key players who transformed the team’s performance and helped them compete for both domestic and international titles.
His best season came in 2023/24, when he finished as the league’s top scorer with 21 goals, while also playing a crucial role in Yanga’s journey to the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Statistics show that he scored a total of 39 goals during his time at Jangwani before leaving for Wydad Casablanca, where he did not stay long.

After leaving Yanga and joining Wydad Casablanca in Morocco, Aziz Ki struggled to achieve the expected success, which led to his move to Al Ittihad in Libya. However, it is reported that his life in Libyan football has also not provided the stability he hoped for.
