Azam FC have strengthened their squad after completing the signing of Ugandan striker Hassan Mubiru from SC Villa on a two-year contract.
According to confirmed reports from sources close to the Chamazi-based club, Azam FC successfully beat competition to secure the forward ahead of the upcoming domestic and continental competitions.
Mubiruβs arrival is seen as part of Azam FCβs broader strategy to boost their attacking options, which have at times lacked consistency and goal-scoring efficiency in high-pressure matches.
The striker is known for his versatility in attack, capable of playing as a central forward or dropping deeper to assist in build-up play.
Before Azam FC finalized the deal, reports indicated that several East African clubs, including teams from Rwanda, were also interested in signing him. However, Azam FC ultimately won the race for his signature.
