Young Africans (Yanga) secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Azam FC in a Tanzania Mainland Premier League match, strengthening their position in the race for this season's league title.
After a highly competitive first half, Yanga broke the deadlock in the 41st minute through Ibrahim Bacca, whose goal gave his team a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The second half saw Yanga continue to dominate the game and pile pressure on Azam FC. Their efforts paid off in the 73rd minute when Aurelio Depu converted a penalty to score Yanga's second goal.
Pacome Zouzoua completed the scoring in the 81st minute, finishing off a well-worked attacking move that highlighted the quality of Yanga's forward line. The goal ensured that all three points remained in the hands of the "Wananchi" (The Citizens).
Throughout the match, Yanga displayed a high level of performance from start to finish, controlling possession, creating numerous scoring opportunities, and showing great discipline across all areas of the pitch against Azam FC.
The result allows Yanga to maintain a strong position in the title race while increasing the pressure on their rivals, Simba SC, in an increasingly intense battle as the season approaches its conclusion.
