Dodoma Jiji FC has announced that it will officially unveil its new kits today at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam ahead of its final Tanzania Mainland Premier League match of the season against Azam FC.
The kit launch will take place alongside the fixture, which is scheduled to kick off at 10:00 p.m. local time.
The move makes Dodoma Jiji one of the few clubs in Tanzania to introduce new kits on the final matchday of the season rather than waiting until preparations for the next campaign. The event is expected to give supporters an opportunity to see and purchase the new jerseys immediately at the stadium.
Traditionally, most Tanzanian clubs unveil their new kits before the start of a new season. Clubs such as Simba SC and Young Africans (Yanga) have followed that approach for several years, making Dodoma Jiji's decision to stage the launch on the final day of the league campaign an unusual one in Tanzanian football.
In addition to bringing the league season to a close against Azam FC, the event is viewed as part of the club's strategy to combine commercial activities with the matchday experience, allowing it to engage a wider audience of supporters through the occasion.
