With the 2025/26 season now concluded, attention has shifted to preparations for the upcoming campaign, with Simba SC appearing to have begun its rebuilding process early ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The club is expected to strengthen several key areas of the squad while welcoming new signings to increase competition for places. Head coach Steve Barker is also expected to play a central role in building a team capable of competing for both domestic and international honours.
Beyond recruitment, Simba is expected to use the pre-season period to improve squad cohesion, which has been identified as a key priority before the new campaign begins. The club has also indicated that it could use the CECAFA Kagame Cup as part of its preparations, given the tight fixture schedule.
