The Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), Cornel Barnabas, has said that the decision to release the NBC Premier League fixtures early is aimed at giving all clubs enough time to prepare adequately for the new season.
Barnabas explained that the move is intended to help clubs organize both their technical and administrative preparations well before the league kicks off.
With the fixtures available in advance, teams can effectively plan their training schedules, travel arrangements for away matches, and overall tactical preparations for each fixture.
He said the early release of the schedule is part of TPLB's broader commitment to improving the management of the league by adopting modern systems that promote professionalism, efficiency, and timely execution of competitions.
"The early release of the fixtures allows clubs to plan properly. We want every team to enter the new season fully prepared, while also giving fans enough time to organize themselves and follow their respective clubs throughout the campaign," Barnabas said.
According to the TPLB CEO, publishing the fixtures ahead of time will also help minimize logistical challenges that have affected previous seasons, particularly in areas such as travel planning, match organization, and overall competition management.
He added that TPLB will continue working closely with clubs and other football stakeholders to ensure the upcoming NBC Premier League season is well organized, highly competitive, transparent, and conducted according to the highest professional standards.
The new NBC Premier League season is expected to begin with clubs finalizing their player recruitment and pre-season preparations as they aim to compete for domestic honors and secure success in continental competitions.
