TRA United winger Ramadhan Chobwedo was close to joining Simba during the current transfer window, but the proposed move has reportedly fallen through.
Chobwedo had reached an agreement to move to the Msimbazi-based club after the end of the season, but it later emerged that he had suffered an injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for an extended period.
The pacey winger sustained the injury during the closing stages of last season, with reports indicating that he will be out of action for more than 12 weeks.
The setback is a major blow for the player, especially after the impressive performances he produced last season that had brought him close to fulfilling his dream of joining the Reds of Msimbazi.
Chobwedo is currently undergoing treatment and is expected to return to action at the beginning of 2027.
