Young Africans SC (Yanga) are on the verge of completing the signing of Fred Ngoma from Moroccan side Olympique de Safi. The 28-year-old Congolese defensive midfielder is reported to have agreed personal terms with the Tanzanian champions and is now expected to travel to Tanzania to finalize the transfer.
According to reports, Ngoma is set to arrive in the country on an Ethiopian Airlines flight before undergoing a medical and signing a two-year contract with the club. The Congo Brazzaville international has impressed during his time at Olympique de Safi, particularly with his performances in the CAF Confederation Cup.
If the deal is completed, Ngoma will provide a significant boost to Yanga's midfield ahead of the 2026/27 season. The club continues to strengthen its squad under head coach Manqoba Mngqithi as it aims to defend its domestic titles and mount a stronger challenge in the CAF Champions League.
