The future of Tanzania international midfielder Feisal Salum, popularly known as "Fei Toto," has become clearer after he joined Azam FC's squad ahead of the team's departure to Rwanda for pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
For months, the midfielder had been heavily linked with Tanzania's football giants, Yanga and Simba, with both clubs reportedly interested in securing his signature.
However, Feisal's decision to report for Azam FC's pre-season camp has largely cooled the transfer speculation and suggests that he remains part of the club's plans for the upcoming season.
Feisal is among the players set to travel with Azam FC to Rwanda for the 2026/27 pre-season camp. Striker Zidane Sireli has also rejoined the squad after returning to Tanzania from South Africa.
The two players had been in South Africa for medical examinations following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season before returning to link up with their teammates for pre-season training.
Under head coach Florent Ibenge, Azam FC have chosen Rwanda as the venue for their pre-season camp as part of the club's preparations for a highly competitive campaign in the NBC Premier League, the FA Cup, and continental competitions.
