Yanga are set to officially launch Mwananchi Week today while also taking part in the inauguration of Bukombe Stadium, with supporters set to receive an additional surprise in the form of a new player unveiling.
Yanga's Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, said the player has already travelled with the squad that departed Dar es Salaam earlier today for Ushirombo to participate in the two major events.
"Today we have two major events. The first is the launch of Mwananchi Week, and the second is our participation in the inauguration of Bukombe Stadium," Kamwe said.
He added that the club's leadership decided to reward supporters with the unveiling after being encouraged by the overwhelming enthusiasm shown by Yanga fans.
"The excitement and support we have seen from Yanga fans has been incredible, so today we have brought them a gift by unveiling another Yanga player at Bukombe Stadium," he said.
Kamwe also revealed that the club's transfer business is not yet complete, disclosing that another player will be introduced in the coming days.
"Today we are unveiling one player, but there is another one coming. When we unveil him, people will be left speechless. Right now, where he is, those training with him still believe he belongs to their club," he joked.
His remarks have further heightened excitement among Yanga supporters, who are eagerly waiting to see which new stars will wear the Tanzanian champions' jersey ahead of the new season.
