The 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup reaches the semi-final stage today, Tuesday, August 4, with two exciting fixtures scheduled at Kigali Pele Stadium in Rwanda.
The first semi-final will see Kenyan champions Gor Mahia take on Sudan's Al Hilal SC at 10:00 PM (EAT). Later in the evening, South Sudan's Jamus SC will face hosts Rayon Sports FC at 1:00 AM (EAT) for the second place in the final.
Gor Mahia head into the clash facing a major injury setback after losing three key players, including Samuel Kapen and Patrick Essombe. Despite the absences, head coach Charles Akonnor has expressed confidence in his side as they chase their first CECAFA Kagame Cup title in more than four decades against the experienced Sudanese giants.
Meanwhile, Jamus SC have been one of the tournament's surprise packages, impressing in the group stage by eliminating defending champions Singida Black Stars and Simba SC. Hosts Rayon Sports are aiming to reach their first final since lifting the trophy in 1998, with captain Emmanuel Nshimiyimana determined to lead the Rwandan side back to regional glory.
