Young Africans SC (Yanga) have officially completed the signing of Ivorian defender Oumar Farouk Komara from Golden Arrows of South Africa's Premier Division. The 25-year-old has been unveiled as part of the "Wananchi" squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, where he will wear the number 33 shirt.
Komara attracted the attention of Yanga's technical team due to his versatility and ability to operate in multiple positions. In addition to his defensive duties, the Ivorian can also play as a defensive midfielder, giving head coach more tactical options when building the team.
His arrival adds further strength to Yanga's squad as the club continues rebuilding ahead of a demanding season that will include domestic competitions and the CAF Champions League. The club's management is focused on recruiting players with international experience to increase competition and improve the team's performance on both local and continental stages.
