New Yanga SC striker Selemani Mwalimu has arrived in Zanzibar this afternoon to join his new teammates ahead of tomorrow's Community Shield clash against Simba SC.
Mwalimu has joined Yanga on loan from Wydad Casablanca, in a transfer that has attracted significant attention after many expected the Tanzanian forward to remain with Simba. The striker had been officially unveiled by Simba during the club's Simba Day celebrations on August 8, before ultimately completing a move to their arch-rivals.
Mwalimu is now expected to join Yanga's final training session under head coach Manqoba Mngqithi as the club completes preparations for the highly anticipated encounter against Simba.
