Pamba Jiji head coach Francis Baraza has revealed that the club's target for the new 2026/27 NBC Premier League season is to finish sixth or higher.
Pamba Jiji will begin their campaign against Dodoma Jiji at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza, with the team hoping to start the season with a positive result.
Baraza said the team's preparations have gone well and that his players are ready to implement the plans developed by the technical staff. The coach emphasized the importance of making a strong start to the season in order to build a solid foundation for achieving the club's objectives.
Midfielder Zabona Mayombya also said the players are well prepared and confident of securing a positive result.
Pamba Jiji showed good competitiveness last season, finishing seventh with 36 points. Under the experienced Baraza, who has coached in both Kenya and Tanzania, the club now aims to build on that performance and finish the 2026/27 season in sixth place or higher.
