Former Azam FC midfielder James Akaminko has officially been unveiled as a new player for Libyan Premier League club Al-Akhdar SC.
The Ghanaian midfielder completed his move to North Africa as a free agent after his contract with the Chamazi-based club expired. He had been with Azam FC since 2022.
Akaminko has signed a one-year contract with the Libyan giants, with an option to extend the deal for another year depending on his performances.
Akaminko was not among the players recommended by Azam FC head coach Florent Ibenge to remain at the club, prompting the Chamazi side to restructure their midfield ahead of the new season.
