Azam FC attacking midfielder Feisal Salum will miss today’s opening match of the 2026/27 Tanzania Mainland Premier League against Polisi Tanzania after serving a suspension stemming from the red card he received in the 2025/26 CRDB Federation Cup final against Simba SC.
The suspension follows an incident in which Feisal deliberately struck Simba winger Libasse Gueye during the final, which was played in Zanzibar. Azam FC went on to lose the match 1-0.
Azam FC will begin their new league campaign today at 4:00 p.m. when they face Polisi Tanzania at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, with the team aiming to start the 2026/27 season with a positive result.
