Yanga SC’s Head of Information and Communications has provided clarification regarding the alleged dispute between the club and player Israel Patrick Mwemda, explaining the club’s side of what transpired.
During the clarification, the club official presented a letter submitted by the player requesting time off, stating that at the time he was not in a good mental state.
According to Yanga, the letter was part of the official communication between the player and the club regarding his condition and his request to take a break.
Yanga said it decided to make the information public in order to present the club’s side of the story and address some of the reports circulating about the relationship between the player and the club.
The clarification comes as Israel Mwemda’s father, who also identifies himself as the player’s manager, has been speaking about his son’s interests and the challenges allegedly existing between the player and Yanga.
The club has also made it clear that the letter is among the documents that can help explain the circumstances that led to the situation, as well as Yanga’s position regarding the dispute.
