The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), through its Disciplinary Committee, has banned Azam FC owner Jamal Bakhresa from engaging in football-related activities for one year.
According to a statement issued by TFF, Bakhresa was suspended after the committee found him guilty of disciplinary misconduct committed before and after the CRDB Federation Cup final played in Pemba.
TFF said Bakhresa was brought before the Disciplinary Committee following two complaints filed against him, and he admitted to committing the offences before the committee chaired by lawyer Alex Mushumbusi.
After admitting the offences, Bakhresa apologised to TFF and promised not to repeat such acts of misconduct in the future.
“The Disciplinary Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has banned Azam FC official Jamal Bakhresa from engaging in football activities for a period of one year,” part of the TFF statement read.
TFF added that the committee found Bakhresa guilty under Article 11(f) of the 2021 edition of the TFF Disciplinary Regulations.
