The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Disciplinary Committee has banned Azam FC official Jamal Bakhresa from participating in football-related activities for a period of one year.
According to a statement issued by TFF today, August 22, 2026, Bakhresa was found guilty of acts of misconduct committed before and after the CRDB Federation Cup final played on Pemba Island.
TFF said Bakhresa admitted to the offenses before the Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Advocate Alex Mushumbusi, in both complaints that had been filed against him.
He also apologized to TFF for his actions and promised that he would not repeat the offenses in the future.
Despite his apology and admission of guilt, the committee found him responsible and imposed the one-year suspension in accordance with Article 11(f) of the TFF Disciplinary Regulations, 2021 Edition.
The decision means that Bakhresa will be prohibited from engaging in football-related activities for the duration of the suspension, following the disciplinary proceedings arising from the incidents surrounding the CRDB Federation Cup final.
