Simba SC Information and Communications Manager Ahmed Ally has said that the club’s current squad is the best team Simba has had over the last three seasons.
Ahmed Ally said the quality of the current squad starts from the technical bench to the players, explaining that Simba has built a strong and highly competitive team capable of achieving major success during the 2026/27 season.
According to Ahmed Ally, Simba has made significant preparations in assembling the squad, with every department featuring strong competition and quality players capable of helping the team achieve its objectives for the season.
He said he believes that this squad is the one that will take Simba to what he referred to as the “promised land,” meaning the club can finally achieve the major success it has been pursuing in recent seasons.
“The current Simba team is the best team we have had in the last three seasons.”
The statement reflects the level of confidence within Simba regarding the quality of the current squad, with the club having major ambitions in both domestic and international competitions.
Ahmed Ally also revealed that Simba has set three major targets for the season, which will guide the team throughout its campaign as it seeks success.
Among those targets, he said the main objective is to reach the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League, a stage that will require Simba to maintain a high level of competitiveness and perform consistently throughout the tournament.
Simba is also expected to compete strongly in domestic competitions, with the quality of its squad and technical bench being seen as key factors in helping the club achieve its goals.
