A team of referees from Tanzania has been appointed to officiate the first preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League between JS Saoura of Algeria and Horoya AC of Guinea, scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026.
The officiating team will be led by centre referee Nasir Salum, with Mohamed Mkono and Ally Ramadhani serving as assistant referees, while Ahmed Arajiga has been appointed as the fourth official.
The appointment gives the Tanzanian officials an opportunity to officiate a high-profile fixture in Africa’s premier club competition and showcase their abilities on the international stage.
JS Saoura will host the first leg in Algeria, while Horoya will be looking for a positive result ahead of the return leg in Guinea the following week.
