The race for the League Player of the Month award for August has begun, with stars from two of Tanzania’s biggest football clubs emerging among the leading contenders.
Libasse Gueye of Simba SC and Maxi Nzengeli of Yanga SC have both made impressive starts to the season, leading their teams’ attacks through goals, assists and strong performances on the pitch.
Gueye has demonstrated his ability to be a constant threat in front of goal while making a significant contribution to Simba’s results.
Nzengeli, meanwhile, has also impressed for Yanga with his ability to create chances, score goals and provide support to his teammates.
Based on the contributions made by the two players during the month of August, the competition for the award looks set to be a closely contested one and could spark plenty of debate among football fans.
