Yanga SC attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua is expected to be among the spectators when the club faces Gaborone United in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round tie on Saturday, September 12, at Azam Complex. The match comes after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Botswana.
Yanga Head of Information and Communications, Ally Shaban Kamwe, said Zouzoua’s presence in the stands could provide additional motivation for his teammates, despite the midfielder not being part of the squad competing this season due to injury. Zouzoua is continuing with his treatment and rehabilitation after suffering a serious foot injury towards the end of last season.
Yanga have already left him out of their 2026/27 registration to allow him sufficient time to recover, with his return to competitive action expected once the treatment and rehabilitation process is complete.
Zouzoua’s presence at Azam Complex is expected to add further excitement ahead of the crucial encounter, as Yanga look for the result needed to progress beyond the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League following their 1-1 draw in the first leg.
