Yanga SC Head of Information and Communications, Ally Shaban Kamwe, has confirmed that Namibian striker Peter Shalulile has suffered an injury after picking up a knock during the CAF Champions League clash against Gaborone United.
Shalulile has been one of Yanga’s key players, scoring one of the goals that helped the club progress to the next round of the competition with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Gaborone United in the second leg.
According to Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, the striker’s condition remains uncertain as the club prepares for today’s NBC Premier League fixture against Geita Gold. His availability for the match has yet to be confirmed.
Yanga will take to the pitch today in the ongoing Tanzanian Premier League campaign, with the match against Geita Gold scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at KMC Stadium in Mwenge, Dar es Salaam.
