Moroccan side Raja Casablanca are in the final stages of negotiations to part ways with Senegalese winger Pape Ousmane Sakho, in a move that would free up space for the club to register new Brazilian signing Philipinho.
Raja have been negotiating with Sakho over a mutual termination of his contract, with the player reportedly seeking several conditions before agreeing to leave. Reports indicate that Sakho is demanding $140,000 in compensation, as well as permission to continue using the car and house provided by the club until December, while Raja would cover his travel expenses back to Senegal.
Sakho, who previously played for Simba SC, joined Raja Casablanca in 2024 from Quevilly-Rouen. He remains under contract with the Moroccan club, with recent reports suggesting that Raja need to reach an agreement with him before they can make room for their new foreign signing.
According to reports dated September 15, a decision on Sakho’s future is expected after the final round of negotiations, after which Raja could complete Philipinho’s registration. Sakho therefore cannot officially be considered a free agent until the termination of his contract is confirmed.
