Barcelona winger Raphinha has been named La Liga Player of the Month for September, winning the award for the second consecutive month after also being crowned the winner for August. La Liga officially confirmed the announcement.
Raphinha was in outstanding form throughout September, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in four La Liga matches. His impressive run included back-to-back hat-tricks against Racing Santander and Sevilla.
The Brazilian has been used more frequently as a central forward under coach Hansi Flick, having previously played mainly as a winger. The positional change appears to have improved his effectiveness in front of goal, while he remains an important part of Barcelona’s squad.
Overall, Raphinha has now scored 12 goals and provided three assists in La Liga this season, making him the league’s current top scorer.
The award also takes Raphinha’s total number of La Liga Player of the Month awards to three, having previously won it in August 2024. For Barcelona, the achievement further highlights Raphinha’s significant contribution to their strong start to the 2026/27 season.
