Simba spokesperson Ahmed Ally has said they believe the Simba Marathon will, within the next few years, grow into one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
Ahmed Ally said their vision is to see the Simba Marathon reach the level of major international sporting events, citing the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games as examples of globally recognised competitions.
“We believe that in the next few years, Simba Marathon will become a major global event. Apart from the World Cup and the Olympics, Simba Day is also a major event; even Simba Day itself is a big event,” Ahmed Ally said.
The statement highlights Simba’s ambitions to expand the marathon and establish it as a major sporting event capable of attracting participants and fans from different parts of the world.
