The situation inside the Real Madrid squad has continued to raise questions after two unnamed players were reportedly involved in a heated dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation.
According to reports from Spanish media outlets, including Cadena SER, tensions inside Real Madrid’s dressing room still appear to be present, months after a major incident involving Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Fresh Dispute Sparks Concern
The reports claim that two other Real Madrid players reached the point of physically confronting each other, although their identities have not been made public.
Cadena SER journalist Antón Meana said on El Larguero that relationships within the squad remain strained, claiming that the dressing-room atmosphere has continued to be cold and tense despite roughly five months having passed since the Valverde and Tchouaméni incident.
However, Real Madrid has yet to issue an official statement confirming the identities of the two players or providing full details of the incident.
Valverde and Tchouaméni Incident Still Fresh
The latest incident comes after an episode that shook Real Madrid in May, when Valverde and Tchouaméni became involved in a dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation within the club environment.
The dispute began following an incident during training and later continued inside the dressing room. Valverde was injured after falling and hitting his head, forcing him to go to hospital, where he received stitches.
Real Madrid later announced that both players had apologised to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff and the fans. The club also fined each player €500,000 and closed its disciplinary proceedings.
Mourinho Faces Squad Harmony Challenge
The latest reports add pressure on head coach Jose Mourinho, who has returned to the Real Madrid bench and faces the challenge of building unity within a squad packed with star players.
Spanish media reports have also continued to highlight tensions within the squad, with some reports claiming that relationships between several players remain strained.
On the pitch, Real Madrid are continuing preparations for their October 10 clash against Villarreal, with the team currently fourth in LaLiga and six points behind leaders Barcelona.
