Young Africans (Yanga) head coach Simon Dladla has urged the club’s supporters to turn out in large numbers for the upcoming Tanzanian Premier League match, saying their support is vital in motivating the players to fight for victory.
Speaking to journalists ahead of the fixture, Dladla said the presence of supporters is an important source of strength for the team, particularly as Yanga continue their pursuit of the season’s objectives. He emphasised that support from the Wananchi can boost the players’ morale and give them extra motivation on the pitch.
The coach also explained that the technical bench continues to work every day to improve the squad and address weaknesses identified in different matches. However, he noted that these efforts need the backing of supporters, who have always played an important role in the club’s journey.
“We really need the strength and motivation of the Wananchi because your presence in the stadium gives the players morale and motivation to fight for victory,” Dladla emphasised.
The appeal comes as Yanga continue their campaign to defend the Tanzanian Premier League title. Dladla hopes to see an even stronger bond between the team and its supporters, urging the Wananchi to fill the stadium and become an important driving force behind the club’s ambitions this season.
