Yanga has agreed to pay the price for its stance

The leadership of Yanga fully understands that refusing to play match number 184 against Simba could cost the club 15 points and even relegation. This is a fact clearly stated in the league's regulations. However, sometimes the cost of staying silent in the face of injustice is greater than any penalty written on paper.

Yanga has already pursued legal channels through the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which directed the club to return to the local bodies—TFF and the League Board—both of which have been accused of favoritism and failing to uphold justice impartially. This creates a dangerous cycle of seeking fairness from those who have already demonstrated bias.

Fighting for Justice, Not Showing Disrespect

Yanga's decision not to honor the fixture against Simba is not an act of disrespect to the league but a peaceful outcry for justice in the public domain. Yanga has never been, and will never be, a club that accepts institutionalized injustice disguised as fairness. Simba’s refusal to play the originally scheduled match on March 8 was clearly against the rules. Instead of facing disciplinary action, authorities protected them and escalated a situation that could have been avoided.

This Didn't Need CAS – The Rules Were Clear

It is unfortunate that an issue that could have been resolved by existing league regulations was turned into a political and fan-based debate. CAS wasn’t necessary if the League Board and TFF had been honest and consistent in interpreting and enforcing their own rules. But since favoritism has now become a systemic norm, a firm and clear stand must be taken.

Yanga, a Club with a History of Struggle

From the days of Tanganyika’s independence struggle, Yanga has been at the forefront of fighting for justice, equality, and dignity. This is not the time to be intimidated by threats of relegation or points deductions. This is a time to stand as an institution that represents thousands of citizens who have lost faith in the current football system.

Stand Tall Yanga – Stand for the Truth

We refuse to be part of a competition clouded by manipulation, administrative bias, and injustice. We are fighting not only for Yanga but for every club that dreams of a truly competitive and fair league. If we don’t take a stand now, we will remain spectators of a league that has lost its legitimacy.
