Yanga SC right-back Israel Patrick Mwenda has been ordered to return to his duties at the club and continue fulfilling the terms of his existing contract.
The decision was issued by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Legal Committee after handling a case involving the player and his club.
According to the ruling, Mwenda is required to return to work and continue honouring his contract with Yanga SC, making clear his obligation to resume his responsibilities as a club player.
Yanga Maintains Its Position on the Contract
Yanga SC has maintained its position that Mwenda must honour his contract and continue fulfilling his responsibilities as a player for the club.
Mwenda has been away from the Yanga squad since the end of last season, reportedly after requesting time away to reflect on his situation following an underwhelming performance in a league match against Simba that ended in a 2-2 draw.
On several occasions, Yanga management urged the player to report back and explain the challenges he was facing, but without success.
